这一对动词都是“借”，“借用”之意，但用的场合完全不同。

Borrow— “借进某物” Can I borrow some money? 我能借些钱吗？

Lend — “借出某物”  I lent (lend 过去式) my car to my friend yesterday. 昨天，我把车借给              朋友了。

在语法意义上讲，它们都可以带双宾语结构，但对应介词不一样，组成下列短语

◇ Borrow sb  sth./ borrow sth from sb.

       Did you borrow money from him?

       你问他借过钱吗？

    Some people are good at borrowing but bad at giving back.

       有些人很会借东西，但很少归还。

◇ Lend sb  sth/  lend sth to sb

       Will you lend your pencil to me? 你能把你的铅笔借给我吗？

    I can lend you my pen. 我可以借给你我的钢笔。
